We decided it just wasn't enough to use top-quality, fine-gauge combed cotton in making this sweater. We plaited the cotton yarns with Lycra spandex to give the sweater a slightly stretchy quality for a more comfortable fit, and to enhance its ability to keep its shape after multiple washings. We also used full fashioning to further improve the fit. Princess seams, neckline, placket, hem and cuffs all feature coverstitch detailing.
