The Missing Maitland-Luke and Blossom-SPOILERSReview Date: 2002-08-09
Entertaining, but not as good as some of the other books in the seriesReview Date: 2005-12-26
He'd been in dangerous situation before...
But Luke Maitland had never put another person at risk--until Blossom Woodward, the controversial TV reporter, happened into the line of fire meant for him. He had saved her life; then he'd had to take her with him into hiding.
She called it kidnapping. She didn't trust the man who said his name was Larkin--and insisted he was protecting her--on bit. Sure, he was kind and brave and...well...gorgeous and sexy, but he was lying through his teeth! She certainly couldn't be falling in love with him, a man whose real name she didn't even know--could she?
The concluding book to the Maitland Maternity series.
And my review:
I bought this book because it was part of the Maitland Maternity series. "The Inheritance" by Marie Ferrarella had tweaked my curiousity, so I grabbed this one.
What was interesting in this book was that Blossom was actually an almost villan in "The Inheritance", so seeing her in the role of heroine was entertaining. Also, though this was a "captive falling for her captor plot", the author refrained from that disgusting he-rapes-her-and-she-loves-it plot device.
However, what this book had in suspense and drama, it lacking in actual romance. I didn't really feel the characters drawing together emotionally. Most of the attraction seemed to be physical, and that wears pretty thin after a while.
If you want to complete your series, go ahead and get this. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this book, as it's pretty average.

Boy o Boy was it eye opening!!!
I'm pregnant with my first baby and have a negative blood type. I have been trying to find out as much as I can about Anti-D and the pros and cons etc.
My Husband and I are doing the BRAN (benefits, risks, alternatives and doing nothing) thing for Anti-D as it is a blood product and we wanted to find out as much as possibe.
Most of the info I've found on the internet has been more geared towards doctors and clinicians and carers. With focus on dosage and how the product is made and by whom etc.
Whilst I wanted to know that stuff, I also wanted to know side effects and basically just how effective it is.
The basis of the book is really disecting the research that has been done into Anti-D and to explain and interpret the results.
It also discussed possible side effects and the risks.
If you are looking for more info on this blood product, then this book may be useful to you also.

Headed to the Hill? - Read ThisReview Date: 2003-12-19
Elving constructs a solid narrative in which the main character is actually a piece of legislation. From this unique vantage point, the reader captures the atmosphere and culture of Congress.
This book is easy stuff for Capitol Hill longtimers, but more importantly its not too difficult for newcomers who want to wade into congressional politics with a good yarn rather than a dry and dusty book of rules.
Recommended.

The best out there. Great but a little hard to get around in. Review Date: 2007-12-10
Bottom line is, it's the best and maybe even only option out there. It is worth the price since it saves time with your care planning.
