Maternity Books

The book was in perfect condition, and was exactly as described. I also received the book very quickly, which is very important when ordering text books. I am extrememly satisfied with the quality of service I received.

It is nice to find a care plan book where the primary focus is the healthy expectant mother. The care paths and flow charts provide a clear concise review of the physiological and psychological changes associated with each perinatal period. The care plans flow from the review, empahsizing assessments, interventions and evaluations for normal healthy pregnancies. Each unit also contains flow charts and care plans for common variations and complications of the perinatal period. This book is a helpful complement to other maternal-child nursing texts and in nursing practice.

Really nicely done for learning physiology of maternal and fetal and neonatal. Very helpful for the biological scholar...gets to the cellular level.

I love this book. A lot of my fellow 2nd year nursing students bought it after they saw mine. My only complaint is that there is only pathology; no wellness or risk for diagnoses, like ineffective breastfeeding; it is only by diagnosis. It has come in very helpfully for care plans.

This series of review guides truly saved me during nursing school. In most cases, these guides were written better than the class notes my instructors prepared, to the point where I was studying almost exclusively from the NSNA Review Guide series. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Absolutely worth their weight in gold!

I am a nursing student, and this was assigned as one of the companion books for maternal-child health. I really enjoyed it. We didn't discuss the cases in our class, but it was a great reinforcer for self learning. I appreciated how they gave detailed answers to the ten or so questions following each scenario. It flowed, the length of each scenario was achievable as a homework assignment, and it felt like efficient, worthwhile learning.

I am really impressed with this text and I found out that one of the author's is local. The chapters are fairly short and concise---great info. Very helpful and I am sure will come in handy for years to come.

The area of medications/side effects used during labor/birth is somewhat thin and vague (But this is the only disappointing section). There are many useful graphics, illustrations, tables and charts to enhance the reader's understanding of the content. An extensive bibliography follows each chapter. I have been using this in my practice for over a year and continue to be generallly thrilled with the extent of the content!

The book and the VCE that accompanied it were in great shape; just as the seller described. The books have proven very helpful in succeeding in my class.
