This is a "Fantastic" book to read through out the year, I've been reading this book at least 3 years and I feel Christ talking directley to me when I read each days writing. I read the Bible to learn Gods word, and read this and hear Jesus talking to me, helping me with each days struggles. I highly recommend it to everyone.

This is a unique looking Bible and has great content. First, it's in the God's Word Translation, a modern English version that actually uses the language the way we use it in everyday conversation. There is a devotion for each day of the year as well as a daily reading plan. It's compact size makes it lose the "refererence book" feel, and although the print size is smaller than in some Bibles, the font is especially sharp and clear, making it easy to read. Like all GWT Bibles, it's in single-column format, making it more readable to someone who might be intimidated by a Bible. I am a youth worker and I'm very excited about the impact this edition will have on teenagers.

I had seen this Bible at a Christian book store and remembered thinking that I liked it. I found it here on Amazon at a much lower price, so I bought it. I am very pleased with this Bible. It's got a very nice and well made cover. The font size isn't too small. The paper is thin, but not too bad. Overall, the God's Word translation is a great read. I really enjoy its hint of a poetic feel and the verses are easy to follow. The verses are grouped in paragraphs and the text expands from margin to margin in a single column. Much like how a novel looks. After Revelation, there are Bible study helps. These include: The teachings of Jesus, Application Index, and a Dictionary/Concordance. I have read the New King James Version all the way through and I am really going to enjoy reading this translation.

I have been a NIV user for many years with Amplified and Strongs as my accuracy measure. God's Word is by far the best, most accurate, easiest to read, and clear bible I've come across. Phrases and passages that normally require careful consideration and interpretation are instantly digestable, making for a smooth and enjoyable reading with a clear view of the bigger picture (being the body of text opened). As an evangelistic tool, it is ideal because it avoids the use of exclusive religeous jargon. I love my God's Word Large Print and my two small New Testament & Psalms hand bibles (which make great gifts) and I recomend them to anyone, from theologeans to preachers to younger and older Christians.

With all the translations from King James to the Message, I have found this to be my overwhelming favorite. I have compare it to the most accurate of translations with the practial readability of all the newer versions.... I highly refer this translation to all and trust it will stir you hearts as well and draw the simpicity of Gods truths..... enjoy it as I have

This is a great little devotional book that is small enough to fit easily in a shirt pocket or purse. Each of its 157 pages contains a quote accompanied by a Bible verse. The subjects are not limited to marriage alone, but also touch on other aspects of life and living under God's direction, including friendship, parenting, forgiveness, etc. A gem for every married couple or those contemplating marriage.

The Little Leather Library was a series of miniature, abridged leatherbound volumes of famous speeches and works by classic literary authors. The leather covers were uniform in style and color. They were stamped with the title and author's name printed inside identical floral borders. The series was founded around 1914 and continued to be sold until 1923. Expect the pages near the covers to be age tanned by the leather.

The Gold Road to La Paz is a step by step guide along the modern remants of the Bradshaw Trail. The trail was the original route that the Butterfield Stadge Company followed from Los Angeles to Phoenix. The Gold Road to La Paz follows the road from the eastern shore of the Salton Sea to Modern Erenburg, Az. Just north of Erenburg along AZ Hwy 1 you can still see the diggings of the gold fields of La Paz. The guide describes in detail and in tenths of a mile all the features and history along the road including trail markers and some excelent side trips. The trail sometimes is still marked in Rock Hound books and on maps as the Old Butterfield Stadge Road just south of the Chocolate Mountains along Interstate 10 between Indio and Blythe. I was able to obtain my copy several years ago at the bookstore inside the BLM office in Palm Springs.
