I bought this bible for a gift to my husband. He loves it. We have been reading it together. Definately worth the money.

*References and study materials are well-written and appropriately placed so you don't have to look to far from the passage you're reading if you want more information
*NIV translation is very reliable and easy to read
*Overall layout of the bible is neat and easy to use
*Concordance is very big and thorough for a study bible (143 pages)
*The 3 versions of this bible: compact, personal, and full sized all have the same information in them, just with smaller writing

Cons
*If only this quality of study bible was more accessible price-wise for the masses. This is an area of your life which is important to put the extra money into, but I guess we wait for sales for the masses :)

Final Thoughts
This study bible does what it is made to do: it makes you get the most out of your bible study time and will encourage you to delve deeper into study due to the ease of use and wealth of information available here. This is the bible I'll be buying for people for special occasions (adult/teen baptisms, new members, etc) for sure since I wish I had this when I was new to bible study.

Not being too religious in our family, the aunt was quite taken with the idea that we (I - niece-in-law) researched and purchased this for her.

Wah-lah!

This study Bible is a wonderful resource for the Christian who wants to truly get into depth when reading the Bible. I am currently working my way through the Psalms and find this study Bible has given me new insights into these poems.

My Mom gave me this book last year for Mother's Day. I started reading it as a daily devotional with my 11 year old daughter at the breakfast table. This book takes some very basic Scripture & attaches profoundly applicable truth for our daily lives. The writer has done an excellent job of translating God's word into a life lesson we can take away from the table & put to use in our lives immediately. When my daughter has sleepovers, we do not forego our daily routine. Her friends also love this special time that we can all share together. Trying to put God first in our daily lives is a challenge, but this gem of a little book certainly helps to remind us that NOT putting Him first is wreckless! We recently took a trip to France & Italy & unfortunately we left it in one of our hotel rooms. Now I am having trouble finding a new one!

This is a really beautiful edition, makes a great gift.
Truths about life, written so long ago, yet relevant for today, and always...

Oscar Wilde was a man before his time, and a genius that burned out too young. He died at the age of 44, but he has written some of the best literature that we are privileged to possess. "The Portrait of Dorian Gray" is one of my favourite stories, so I thought I should read his short stories too. Well, his genius is apparent in these stories too. Some of his stories seem to be social commentaries that he uses like sword to poke fun at what is sacred in his society, but they are truly funny as well. He explores all forms of love, hate, greed and goodness in these stories. My own particular favourite was "The Canterville Ghost". Wilde's interpretation of American savoir faire is hilariously funny. His fairy tales are truly beautiful, and each one has a special message to impart. I heartily recommend reading these stories. Wilde is unsurpassable.

It's too bad this book is out of print or unavailable. As a
new Christian, I found it, (and continue to use it) to be crucial
to my understanding of many verses of the King James version,
which is one of the truest translations of God's word. There are
too many bibles out there, but there is only one true God, and
one truth to His word. The NIV study bible explains most of the
verses down at the bottom of each page and great care is taken
not to take away from God's word, but to help us to understand it. We know that it is the Holy Spirit who opens our minds to
understanding, but we also know that he uses other people to
explain God's words. I believe that the writers of the NIV
have maintained Biblical integrity in their work and refrained
from tainting it with their own personal views.

This volume is the best "toolbox" I have in my collection. For my daily work, it is by far the single most comprehensive offering I have seen to date, and the Angels known as Preservation Press are to be commended for their work. I would "Highly" recommend this volume to anyone who works for God in the field, or otherwise. It is the sharpest sword of truth that I own. Every warrior of God should have this.

I love this item. It is great for keeping appointments and writing down and keeping track of personal addresses and phone numbers. It fits in my purse and is small enough for a man's suit coat pocket. It also has some much needed christian encouragement because there are scriptures printed on the top of the pages.

Love this planner. I bought the 2008 one for this year, and it has been great! Perfect size, nice leather like cover. I had to order next years early because I am already planning into next year. Its just as nice as the 2008! It has great insperational verses as well as just "man" sayings, and it has a full month at a glance as well as day by day.
LOVE IT! Cant say it enough!
