I would recommend that all three of his books be purchased, read, and then re-read over & over. You will never forget this Southern boy's story!

this novel should be made into a movie!!Review Date: 2005-06-08
It tells the adventures of the gang "Diablos" and their rival gangs. Starting with little and harmless pranks the adventures grow not only more creative but also more dangerous.
Even though some members want these things to end before they can get out of control - as a Diablo you have to be loyal and stick by your friends.
And every time the other gang wants to get even with their foes - will there ever be an end of humiliation, destruction and violence?
This book also covers many other subjects like racism, prejudice, hatred and love, sex and how you might see things differently when you grow older.
This novel definately is a great read - being witty and full of amazing puns, it also makes you think about life and about how some events or people can influence you for years to come.
If you love to read about the `50s - you will enjoy this novel.
I'd really love to see this book made into a movie!
Black Leather and Blue DenimReview Date: 2004-05-20
Review
This lengthy novel Black Leather and Blue Denim (in a good way) of 147,000 words and with fifty-seven chapters, is adult literature that details the innocence of teenage life in the 1950's. It is filled with danger, adventure, violence between gang members, and even romance. BLACK LEATHER and BLUE DENIM takes place in the suburbs of Pennsylvania and depicts territorial and dominance struggle between two specific greaser gangs, the Diablos and the Kamikazes. The Kamikazes are a group of thugs that love to pick on eggheads, other wise known as nerds, jocks, and especially other greasers.
J.W., who organized the Diablos to protect him and his friends from the Kamikazes, likes a girl named Angie Palermo. She is the daughter of a Mafia drug and pornography distributor who has business relations with the Kamikazes. Because J. W. and Angie are on two different ends of the spectrum, so to speak, their affair is filled with lies, unfaithfulness, and hostility...
As I read the book, I was often taken to my teenage years when the movie "The Outsiders" was an often talked about event. I loved it. Mr. Dubya has successfully put together a book addressing touchy subjects such as: racism, sex, violence, and where males in the 1950's thought they ruled. He's added tons of exciting action, the characters are realistic, and the dialogue is perfect to the character's personalities and descriptions.

Rafe Sinclair can't believe his grandfather put a stipulation to his inheritance. If he doesn't marry by his birthday, the ranch on which he lives will no longer be his. Having no choice but to find a wife, Rafe doesn't look forward to the politics that go along with wife hunting. However, his problem is solved when Emma Radcliff's father and he agree on his marrying Emma. Now if he can just get Emma to agree, his inheritance will be safe and Rafe will have a wife.
Emma and Rafe have to learn to be a team. Each is cantankerous in their own way, Emma more so in my opinion than Rafe. She was so angry at times that even I winced at her displeasure. I thought Rafe was loyal and hero worthy. He was patient and kind to Emma and I wished more than once that she was a bit softer for this sexy virile man. Beth Williamson came through for me with Emma's characterization because by the time I read the last word and closed Branded, I knew without a doubt that Emma was meant for Rafe and vice versa.
Beth Williamson never fails to deliver a book that will keep me entertained and on the edge of my seat. Her storyline of Branded was unique and I loved how it ended. Nobody writes western historical romances like Beth Williamson and I am proud to be one of her biggest fans. ***Talia Ricci for Joyfully Reviewed***
Seduction has never been so much fun!Review Date: 2008-01-28
At the age of five, Emma Radcliff made the monumental announcement that she is going to marry Rafe Sinclair. She's done a lot of growing up in the fifteen years since then and has decided that she's not going to marry at all. Wearing breeches and working horses on her father's ranch suits her just fine. Only her plans are thwarted when her father insists that she marry Rafe - no if's, and's, or but's.
Rafe Sinclair really has no interest in getting married but a stipulation in his grandfather's will forces the issue. He has to be married by the time he turns thirty or he loses the Circle S Ranch. Since he's known Emma her entire life she seems like a relatively safe choice but the last thing he anticipates is the little hellcat's insistence that he agree to stay out of her bed. To make matters worse, little Emma is looking mighty gown up and he's just discovered that he wants her - in every way.
Since Emma insists on her no sex clause, Rafe counters her with a clause of his own - that she reserves the right to change her mind and void her clause at any time. Though still not entirely comfortable with the situation Emma agrees but also requests that she be allowed to work with the horses at the Triple R. They'll both have what they want - well almost. Things don't go exactly according to plan. Emma's father refuses to allow her to return to work the horses after the marriage takes place, she counterattacks with the insistence that she takes some of the horses with her.
Rafe and Emma marry but no sooner are the vows spoken then the trouble starts. Emma's always been very attracted to Rafe and Rafe is definitely finding it difficult to adhere to her `no marital privileges' clause. What's a guy to do when he discovers that is new wife is the sexiest thing on two legs? Well being a man of his word, he can't just grab her up and take her to his bed, he's going to have to seduce her. Only Emma's just as stubborn as he is persuasive. Which one will hold out the longest?
Beth Williamson presents readers with yet another wonderful historical tale with her contribution to the LEATHER AND LACE series - BRANDED. Emma won me over from the very first page. She's so `in-your-face' and not afraid to go against convention that I couldn't wait to read all about her and find out how or even if Rafe can `tame' her. Rafe grew up knowing Emma so of course he's never seen her in any sort of sexual way but he's seeing her now and practically salivating just thinking about bedding his own wife. Ms. Williamson even throws in several supporting characters that you'll love to hate or hate to love, but in either case they're definitely unique and fun.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the other LEATHER AND LACE series books. Rebecca Goings contribution HIGH NOON was released on November 13th and Melissa Schroeder's THE SEDUCTION OF WIDOW MCEWAN was released on November 20th.

Another Fine Addition To The Hervey Series.Review Date: 2004-07-08
A brief synopsis - the book starts with Hervey and his sister, vacationing in Italy. The sights and culture of Italy, are vividly described, and serve well as a different backdrop to young Hervey, as tries to come to terms with his current lot in life. There are encounters with noteworthy characters - the poet Shelley for example - which serve to touch Hervey as he seeks to find himself after his recent personal tragedy. (See Book Three - "A Regimental Affair".) Hervey begins to see his way clear - and purchases a new commission with his old regiment, soon to be posted to India. Upon arrival, old 'friends' re-introduce themselves into his life - the Somerviles - and help him to get his feet planted and moving forward again. The naivete of Hervey is almost gone - except for the opposite sex - and a much harder, more resolute officer remains. Also, the trials and tribulations of establishing a new troop in a foreign posting, are nicely described here. The troop battle or action scene, where Hervey eliminates most of his lingering self-doubt regarding his capabilities and prospects as a leader, showed a discerning touch.
In sum, Mallinson provides a thoroughly engrossing depiction of England and India during the time period, with all its complexity of class, religion, and politics. The story is well paced, and balanced with the 'much' anticipated development of certain characters - Sergeant Armstrong, Elizabeth Hervey, the Somerviles, and not the least Hervey. There is sufficient military action to keep the reader's interest as well, with fascinating depictions of the 'family' called a cavalry troop.
If you enjoy historical fiction of the Napoleonic era, especially the cavalry - try this book, you won't be disappointed.

Finally - leather realism that makes sense!!Review Date: 2004-08-29
Time To Bury Mr Benson.Review Date: 2003-10-31
Enter Master Terry Andrews and submissive/potential slave Matt Stone. One night, after a very hot encounter, these two men begin a courtship by collar. Terry begins to look at a bottom he considered a gadabout player in a whole new light, and Matt begins a journey in which he has to understand what his urges mean and if they are true to him. Where in most stories, these issues would resolve inside a chapter or two, for "Carried Away" the characters each have to probe what their instincts demand. What will this kind of relationship do to their lives, and not just a fast lane romp, but for a long-term future?
For those reasons alone, "Carried Away" would set itself apart from the pack. Yet there's more. Author david stein infuses the novel with rich detail of the New York scene and the social activities that the city entertains. You get a well fleshed out background for the how and whys of Matt and Terry's actions and emotions. This is a novel in the old fashioned sense; a lengthy story with a well plotted sequence of events. And make sure you remember that this isn't a sex novel as much it's a heavily romantic novel which incorporates sex. Lots of sex. To the point that it becomes one of "Carried Away's" foreground characters instead of a background activity. After all, this is a leather love story.
The backgrounds themselves are described in the matter a masculine bottom would see them and not like an interior decorator. The words daub the spaces with color and detail without distracting from the plot, something usually missing in homomasculine writing. Mr. stein obviously loves these words. Everything from the steaming heat to the emotional tumult is given equal ebb and flow in "Carried Away." Not a phrase is wasted or situation shorted. Threads woven into the story come to realistic conclusions. And it's very important to note that in "Carried Away" nothing seems implausible. Not the sex, the kink, or the emotions of the main characters. I'll grant you that this kind of attention to detail makes for a hefty volume (this is no quickie read or any sort of flick-through book), but when was the last time you had a modern leather story that could satisfy both your lower gonads, frontal lobes and central heart in equal parts?
David Stein has gifted us with the most realistic, imaginative, and thoughtful Gay Erotic Leather novel that I have ever read. It may have taken him ten years to complete, but the literary bar has been "Carried" to a higher level.
