Excellent edition of the King JamesReview Date: 2008-03-16
My only concern is that my book was a second quality complete with a remainded mark ( a red star stamped in the back) and a large ink smear on one page in the book of Romans. However, due to the fact that I'd bought the RCD286 as a secondary bible to read on days when my eyes were tired, I didn't mind. Not long after getting ours, we gifted another to a family member elsewhere and that book was in perfect condition.
It's highly recommended for those of us who have reached 40, eyes have started to change just a bit, and have a love for a very high quality text.
Hope this helps,
Daryl J.

Unbelievable qualityReview Date: 2007-06-08
I was not disappointed. This bible is beautiful and is of outstanding craftmanship. I would love to see this edition with Ryrie or MacAuthur commentaries. Also, this reference format and binding in ESV or NASB versions would be a nice addition to the Oxford library... please...

Nice little packageReview Date: 2002-02-12
But that isn't even what this review is about. It is supposed to be about this little pocket version in particular. I like it. I did give it four stars because the cover is not very protective of the pages. I have a little New King James Version that I was given by the Gideon's and it's cover is much more protective. But still I take this little guy to school every day with me and it holds up. There are so many different Bible styles out there. Don't buy this one for study or anything, but if you want a Bible to carry in your pocket to work or school, this is a good one.
Excellent little Bible!Review Date: 2002-04-27
With this pocket NT with Psalms and Proverbs, I think they have done an excellent job balancing overall size of the Bible and font size/layout. It is small enough to comfortably fit in your pocket, but it is also quite comfortable to read. The quality is outstanding as are all the other Foundation Publications products I have seen. They really do a great job publishing Bibles.
Highly recommended!

Moleskine 2008 18-Month PlannerReview Date: 2008-07-25
PerfectReview Date: 2008-02-09
It was everything I dreamed of in a pocket diaryReview Date: 2008-01-01
Moleskine makes another excellent productReview Date: 2008-02-18
If you're familiar with Moleskine, it has the same inner pocket and stretch cord closure, as well as the woven bookmark that's sewn into the binding and the wonderful leather-like feel of the cover. The color is very vibrant, just the right shade of bold red.
This planner not only has your daily, weekly/monthly, and monthly/yearly calendars, but also a measures and conversions chart, traveling distances chart (worldwide), travel diary, time zone map, international holidays chart, international clothing size conversion chart, and a page with a ruler printed! I don't think I could design a better planner, I feel that this one fits so well.
The ONLY downside I can see is that even though it has a 2008 and 2009 monthly and yearly calendar view, the daily planner only goes up through December 31, 2008. That just means as soon as they start releasing the 2009 versions, I'll have to be quick and order one so that I'm ready for the new year and any of the appointments that may come with it.
Overall, I give it five stars because it does everything I could hope for in a classic pen-and-paper planner, and it looks stylish and chic while doing it. I love the feel and look of it so much, I make sure to "have a reason" to bring it out in front of everyone!
Nice Little Red BookReview Date: 2007-12-14
It gives you a full page per day. I like that because a lot of calendars give you an inch a day which is not nearly enough.
Last year I bought the larger version and it was good.
This year I bought the smaller version by mistake, but decided not to return it because although the pages are smaller, it is still a page a day, not so heavy and I can easily put it in my pocketbook.
This is much nicer than squinting at some small print on a small electronical device which you will probably drop and break anyway. And you can see everything at once.
I like it.

A Do-It-Yourself Travel NotebookReview Date: 2007-08-11
For some people this is going to be an absolutely useless product. But for many this will be remarkably useful. I can envision two uses for this notebook. First, those who are planning a trip to one of the places for which Moleskine has produced a book. Let's say one has consulted the Blue guide, the Eyewitness Guide (by DK), a Rough Guide, the Michelin guide, and the Let's Go guide. Maybe you've bought all of these, making for five guides. No way do you want to drag all of these on your trip or more than one on your flight. So what might you do? You might take the Moleskin Notebook, record into it all the places you want to see, restaurants you want to dine at, museums you want to stroll through, and anything else you want to do while in your destination of choice, and record it there. So the Moleskine City Notebook can serve as a distillation of all the various travel guides, web sites, and other resources you have consulted. And instead of hauling about a large Fodor's guide, you can carry about this small Notebook that can easily fit into a backpack, purse, should bag, or even pocket.
The only downside is that the Moleskine City Notebook is only as good as you make it. If you do a good job of planning your trip, it will be filled to the brim with useful and helpful information. If not, it will be as unhelpful as you have made it.
There is a second use to which the City Notebook can be put to use, though it is not one for which it was primarily designed. You could use it for the city in which you live. I live, for instance, in Chicago. I have bought one of these so that I can over time use it to record every bit of helpful information that I might find useful or helpful. I can record what hours the Seminary Co-Op Bookstore (the real one, not the trade version on 57th Street) is open. The hours for the Chicago Public Library and the Newberry Library. Phone numbers of restaurants and addresses of bars. And so on and so forth. Granted, these books will only benefit those who live in one of those cities, but for the U.S. New York, Chicago, Boston, Washington D.C., Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles are pretty populated areas.
So this is a very well conceived product though it absolutely has to be stressed that it is a specialized one. Please note: THIS ISN'T FOR EVERYONE. If you don't want to use the Notebook to plan your trip it is going to be very close to worthless. I'll emphasize again: this is only as good a product as you make it. But if you use it to help you plan your trip, it could be the single item you would most loathe to be without after your notebook.

Good read, a bit humourless - 2nd of the three Kilkenny/TrentReview Date: 2005-12-30
IN this second book Kilkenny has drifted to Idaho into the mountains and properly filed for some land himself. Unfortunately he and his fellow 'nesters' have aroused the ire of the local land baron, 'King' Hale. Hale hadn't been interested in the land until the nesters came along, now he is ruthlessly driving them out aided by his violent son 'cub' and the tacit help of some of the locals including a shop owner who refuses to sell them any goods.
Kilkenny now calls himself Trent and doesn't want to be drawn into anything he doesn't have to, but unfortunately it is brought to his door, his neighbour is ruthlessly murdered and his children hunted. They escape to Trent's cabin and then Trent himself is threatened. He refuses to budge but joins up with the other nesters and fights for what is his.
What I liked about this book and other L'amours is that people are generally not simply black and white. Some of Hale's men are actually good men and they recognise in Trent a similar spirit which makes the action more complicated and richer for it. Also within the nesters there is Cain Brockman, whose brother Abel was killed by Kilkenny/Trent and has sworn revenge. Cain is a good man who fell in with a bad lot now trent has to use his persuasive powers to convince Cain of this.
Like I said this is a rich and complex novel, a good easy read to take up an afternoon.

Refreshing Memoir of Power ExchangeReview Date: 2008-08-25
Having said all that, I did enjoy the book. Although I am a straight Woman Myself, the scenes that She described with Her female submissives were interesting. I am typically not a fan of the "overly sexual" bdsm scenes that seem so fake and nauseating. This book described more the power exchange within each scene and was not overly sexual.
The book has many frequent spanking scenes, between Mistress Nan and both male and female submissives.
One interesting thing about the book as well is the use of a slave memoir within the text, with one chapter being a summary from one of Her slaves.
I feel that the book seemed realistic, especially the multiple chapters of the different characters.
I recommend the book, especially for those into lesbian scenes, bondage, whips, spanking and caning.

A solid, quality BibleReview Date: 2006-05-30
The print in this edition is large, not giant, but comfortable to read. What stands out most is the darkness of the print, both black and red, that also contributes to ease of reading.
The center column references are quite thorough with many optional readings of words and passages in the text. Therefore, this is an excellent study Bible. The concordance, too, is better than most.
Zondervan has published a good quality Bible. The bonded leather is quite nice and the Bible is sturdily bound. I really enjoy mine.
