LADY OF THE HAVEN, a sequal to Diamond's THE HAVEN adds an entire new dimension to the genre of fantasy and speculatice fiction. This tale is as much a romance story as it is a fantasy. Changing locations, the protagonist, Stacy, ever accompanied by her beloved wolves, reaches adulthood and begins a chain of exciting adventures followed in other books of the Empire Princess series. A fun read, a sweet read, a good read.

Captivating Sicily

The scenery was emphasized by the author. I can feel Sicily around me as I read the book. It is in the point-of-view of Alison Jordan, the main character of the book.

Unplanned, she and Jay, her brother, ventured out in a place both have never been to before. Together they tried to find out about their father, and unexpectedly, Alison's real mother too. It was not only a family reunion that destiny brought them but also the age-old secret hidden in one of the caves in Sicily.

Although I would say that some parts are a bit draggy, it is still worth the read.

A Must Read Fantasy--Superbly Written

Lady of the Lakes is the first book in a three book classic sword and sorcery fantasy. It is a series that promises to rise well above the usual because of the high quality of the writing.

Hearkening back to Sir Walter Scott's classic tale with a similar name (The Lady of the Lake) the two lead characters meet beside the shores of a magnificent lake. The young fugitive, Corryn, has been waiting a year for a young lord he met there to reappear, hoping to be taken on as a squire.

When an infant is abducted in a fierce battle, the young lord is injured and Corryn realizes he has been waiting not for a man, but for a supremely alluring woman clad in armor, the Lady Jess. From there, the reader is swept up in an enthralling adventure, as the two pursue their quest while denying the growing hunger in their hearts for each other.

The author has the poet's gift with language. Like Legends of the Serai, from her other fantasy series, Lady of the Lakes is compulsively readable. In Lady of the Lakes, the writing varies stylistically, and "how" the story is told is often as important as "what "is being told. Few writers could have carried this off successfully, but Hall makes it work through her command of the written word.

It takes a fantasy writer of rare power and discipline to carry off an achievement like Lady of the Lakes. Hall proves here she deserves a place with the best.

"There's nothing in the Mundane World that compares to the stench of a Templar." - Lady of the Lamp

True to form and reputation, Caiseal Mór returns after a brief sojourn to the Far Country with this incredible tale of the Holy Grail, the Knights Templar, Angels, Demons and Zephyrs and the true nature of our existence.

Set in the early thirteenth century in a forest province called Keak, the reader is launched into the tale riding on the back of a Templar Host who march to retrieve a certain holy relic of legend.

With the precision his fans have come to expect, Mór blurs the lines between documented history and fantastical events of his own design, weaving several strands into the loom to create a tapestry of rich personalities and warring intrigues. Beckoning to the reader with an irresistible clarion-call, one cannot help but share the author's enthusiasm and love for the tale he tells.

With the deftness of a master, Mór sets the pace like his character Ronan's drumming - measured and controlled in the beginning to draw the reader into a comfortable rhythm before changing beat and unleashing the torrent of imagination that takes hold and disallows the reader to put the book down.

I really enjoyed this read - I was engaged from the beginning because of the way Mór wrote about the Templars. As someone who is greatly interested in the Knights Templar and their history, I was quite shocked and then pleased with the way they were portrayed in the story.

That and the fascination many of us have had at one point in time, and that's the Holy Grail. Countless books and movies have been composed around its mystery and yet Mór has still managed to take the Grail story and give it a completely new and refreshing angle - only a truly accomplished story teller can rework a story that's older than written history!

Lady of the Lamp is written in vivid, colourful prose and often had me exclaiming or laughing aloud. The detail with which Mór paints his world is more than enough to stir the imagination without burdening the reader with a Tolkein-esque marathon of descriptive metaphors.

Lady is simply another masterpiece in Mór's long line of best-sellers - this one is sure to join them.

Caiseal Mór is multi-talented author, musician and artist and is creator of several hugely popular best-selling novel series', including "The Circle and the Cross" (Wanderers Trilogy) and "The Well of Yearning" (Wellspring Trilogy). His inventive and unique work encompasses original art and music composed as companions to his literary works, which creates an amazing experience for the senses.

Young Lady Damaris FitzHubert possessed beauty, fortune, and impeccable lineage. But that didn't seem to do her any good where the Duke of Camber was concerned. The man she had adored from afar since childhood had no interest whatsoever in the season's new crop of debutantes. His preference ran toward the demimonde, the Cyprians, the women of easy virtue whose company could be had-or dispensed with-for the price of a pearl choker or a diamond brooch. Damaris, however, was not about to give up. Not even if she had to attend the notorious Cyprian's Ball itself... Camber was caught of guard by the mysterious new Cyprian. Not only was she hauntingly lovely, but actually had the gall to turn down his very generous offer for her favors in no uncertain terms. What game was this enticing wanton playing? She would soon discover that she had chosen the wrong man to fence with. For he was expert duelist and he always won...

A very sensual book that has no problem holding ones attentiion!

Tommy Geyer writes with insight and a knowledge of his genre. He has done his historical and factual research well and has produced a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed this book not only because of its obvious christian thread, but also because of the great descriptive passages which are true to the vast untamed land the author lives in.
Geyer develops his characters with care and sensitivity and one comes away with a new respect and admiration for those who made the Last Frontier what it is today.
This is a hard book to put down..a great read!
I give it a solid 5!

A riveting romantic adventure filled with suspense, murder and mystery, this book will have you captivated with its many twists and turns as the plot thickens. You will find yourself sometimes reading the same sentence over and over as you sometimes do but not because you weren't paying attention, but because the words you just read were so unbelievably poetic. The author beautifully puts into words the emotions that we feel but often can't find the words for. An intricate story that unfolds brilliantly!

"Lady on the Beach" is the memoirs of Norah Berg's years as a beachcomber in Ocean City, WA. The first chapter of the book can be quite depressing as she chronicles her rough childhood in the mining towns of Montana and her struggles with alcoholism later in life. However, after she meets "Old Sarge" Berg, and the two move to the beach, the story really picks up. My favorite parts were Berg's stories of the eccentric cast of characters that populated the tiny beach community during the war years. Some were hilarious and heartbreaking all at the same time, and always memorable. I adored this portrait of life in Washington's not too distant past, in a place that has now been drastically changed by "civilization."

Lady On Top-- a finalist in the 1998 Coeur du Bois Chapter Readers' Choice Award for Short Comtemporary.

Ali Kozinski is a timid librarian who finally loses her cool when her library burns down. She take it out on her elderly neighbor's precious bone china, waking Keith, the neighbor's young, handsome and very naked great nephew--not to mention waking his lust, and something unexpected in Ali herself.

When she finds herself accidentally taking an assertiveness-training course (she's too afraid to say she's gone into the wrong room), she resolves to stop being timid, and to practice her new-found courage on Keith, the sexy neighbor.

Keith is the one who learns he needs courage when faced with a determined Ali, who simply has no intention--for the first time in her life--of taking "no" for an answer. Especially not from him.
