This contains ready to use and easily adjustable guided writing activities that produce great results from my 6th graders. They learn specific writing skills easily. I really appreciate the presentation: to the point, fun, but not cute.

Lucky to still have a set

These books are wonderful. I spent many dull, hot summer days with my nose in one of these books, reading fairy tales and classic stories from all over the world peppered with illustrations that could be black and white or color. I was fortunate when I was older to receive the set from my mother, but I have known so many people over the years to see my set on the shelf and gasp in fond recognition. I can understand. If I did not own a set myself, I would be fanatical about acquiring one.

Cool, timeless classics for kids!!!!

I had this set when I was a kid and I read seven of them from cover to cover. Many of the stories were read over and over to my little sister and brother. I lost the set when I was fourteen when we moved. I'd love to get a set for me as well as my sister and brother so they can read those stories to my niece and nephews!

Mavis really wants to be a fairy godmother, but she is so young, and having trouble making her magic spells work. So instead of giving up she decides to get busy and help make her friends' dreams come true by working hard to assist them in achieving their goals. A great book to help children learn the rewards of helping others accomplish their goals. A must-read for today's young children!

This is a fresh, humorous and lighthearted version of the cinderella story, from the perspective of a young, fledgling fairy godmother. Insightful as to relating to life as a kid, and as a sibling. Inspiring, funny, nice.

Really sweet book!

This is a really sweet book. My 22-month-old loves it. It is written in the style of 1,2, buckle my shoe, and some of the text is a little bit awkward if you're thinking of that while reading, but it didn't seem to bother my daughter. Overall this is a great book that I enjoy reading to my little one. Nice illustrations and sweet text (I love you all the way up to ten and back down again).

Wasn't familiar with RDJ now a fan

I didn't know much about Robert Downey Junior, but one of my friends suggested I read this book. The book was great, I found him to be a very interesting person. His struggle with drug addiction was very compelling, and I'm glad that he has overcome it.
The book was filled with great RDJ quotes, each one funnier than the last.
I didn't really realize how many movies he has been in, it doesn't seem like you see him very often, but after reading the book you find out that most of his roles have been in smaller films.
I am very glad that I got an opportunity to read the book, and I think I'm going out and renting Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang so I can see more of him.

I read this book when I was writing my disstertation for the University. I found it both competent, giving facts and details, and also entertainig. Extremely well-written it is a book that gives the reader a deep insight into British society and its customs.

As a big fan of woodcuts, I fell in love with this book immediately. The simple, bold shapes and minimal use of color are wonderful. The book was originally created in 1923 by muralist C.B. Falls for his children. He went on to illustrate several other beloved children's stories.

My kids love this book. We (their parents) love it too. We all like it so much that we cut out the pages, framed them, and hung them on the play room wall for an alphabet display. We first got it as a gift, and we've given it as a gift since then.
