Sweaters Books

This book has great, timeless designs, that are very versatile. The sweaters are easily brought out of the 1980s by just a few color changes.

I am big into Debbie Bliss' designs. This book is not different to her previous I own: great designs, very fashionable, and totally practical. The colors are beautiful, and if you are able to find the same cottons she uses, the results are a guaranteed success. The book has very easy to follow instructions if you have knitted before. Unlike her most recent book, Quick Baby Knits, this book has diagrams and I hope she continues to include them in future publications: they are most helpful. I have two girls (14 months and 2 and a half years' old) and they get a lot of "mileage" out of these sweaters. In this Nautical collection, my favorite piece is the baby blanket: easy to make, and a great heirloom for generations to share.

I found the book to be very helpful in knitting. I am just beginning to knit, and need a lot of pictures and information. They are very helpful.

This is one of the few knitting pattern books I actually used to knit sweaters for my daughter. Patterns for sixteen sweaters for children from six months to twelve years based on Chinese knitting techniques. Patterns rely on a variety of stitches, can be all one color and still present a unique look.

"Unique collection of modern knitwear based on historical themes."

I've owned this book for several years. From when I first saw it in a bookstore, I had to have it.
Beautiful knitted creations. "Captured" historical periods with design styles and/or with colors. It also includes variations of the sweaters/jackets plus accessories chosen to enhance the styles.
The pictures of the actual knitted sweaters/jackets are clear and details are very clear. Then there are sketches showing the variations.
Patterns are well-written with clear diagrams.
If you are a knitter, you have to see Stitches in Time for yourself!

This is an excellent book but be aware that Fairy Time Knits and Story Book Knits are the exact same book!
I know, I just bought both!

I originally took this book out of the library because of the beautiful photos. I liked the patterns and the instructions so much I decided to buy a copy for myself to make some of the sweaters for family and friends. The instructions and illustrations are clear and concise. The photos with alternate color arrangements are wonderful. The pattern grids are easy to understand. I highly recommend this book.

This pamphlet has knitting and crochet projects as follows: Crochet Lustersheen Blouse, Knit Textured Cardigan, Crochet Cardigan, Knit Pullover, Knit Cotton T-Shirt, Popcorn Cluster Sweater. These sweaters are displayed on models wearing dress pants and skirts. (office wear).

8 really lovely seascape and landscape intarsia patterns. Good sizes available. Well written and easy to follow graphs.
