This is an exellent piece of work, still of major importance for understanding recurrent abdominal pain in childhood.

It's not a Medically based or even Pcych based book (the author has no background and admits it) but it has more impact on emotionally settling concerns than ANY medically written book yet.
No other book I've found actually lakes you feel like you are not alone, explains why your spouce feels the way they do and has reacted to having a baby the way they did. And it opens your eyes to where you probably got the foundations that led to how you react to a baby's birth.

I really wish i had gotten this book when my baby was about 2 months old (before PPD set in and I ran out of energy or time to read) because simply reading it was like a cloud lifted. Every paragraph of this book was like lightbulbs going off! Share it with your spouce too!

Dr. Fysh's textbook is a terrific addition to chiropractic literature supporting this natural form of healthcare for children. It has thorough reviews of anatomy, physiology, assessment and treatment. An invaluable addition to the chiropractor's reference library.

I'm always looking forward to Delores Fossen's books, because they guarantee an excellent read. The Christmas Clue was no exception. LOVE the hero. Strong, honorable, protective :-)

This book has great advice that affirms the logical natural baby caring stuff we moms have inside us. This book contributes to a healthy bond between mom and baby...I have been buying them for our bookstore here in Guatemala...and after shipping etc, I actually sell them for less than I pay for them because I feel this book is that good...

As owner of the Adoptive Parents of Vietnam mailing list, I am always on the lookout for good information for families on adoption. This book is an excellent resource for those who want to dig into post adoption issues. Clinical and Practice Issues in Adoption, by Victor Groza and Karen Rosenberg, presents seven professional papers on the theory and practice of infant-placed and older adoptions. Procedures and experiences of adoption vary dramatically between children placed at infancy and older children -- this book brings these similarities and differences to our attention, so that we can begin to learn from each experience. The authors have succeeded in providing an well-documented presentation for integration of theory, practice, policy, and research between adoptees, birth parents, and adoptive families. While this book is written for professionals and researchers in the adoption; those with a deep interest in the underpinnings of the adoption process from the professional point of view will find it rewarding. Important issues and concepts for all stages of the adoption are addressed, some of which adoptive parents may not yet be consciously aware, although they very well may influence their family. Clinical and Practice Issues in Adoption provides a solid review of the historical and societal context, ethics, and practice of adoption of infants and older children.

This is one of the most useful and interesting of the Marx biographies and shows us another Marx, behind the man of fiction who was a later invention. Christopher Hill in _The Experience of Defeat_ details a host of figures in the English Civil War, from the Levellers to the Fifth Monarchists, who were written out of history, and who had to live with failed revolutionary lifetimes. We forget the actual experience of Marx, the experience of defeat after 1848, and his persistence nonetheless without illusions documenting the capitalism of his time and era. After the grotesquerie of the twentieth century Communists it is significant to remember this other Marx.
This is surely the experience of the current left, and one might expect it to end as forgotten as the defeated figures from Munzer onward--save that the right will not rest, and will reinvent slavery or worse if left to their devices, while the current left fantasies a series of leftist fictions, among them about Marx.
It might help to look at the failure of Marxist theory, the experience of defeat, behind the unique brilliance of Marx, and at least know the history, starting with Marx's challenge to Hegel's philosophy of right. This work shows the problems that Marx experienced in his theoretical struggles, and shows, for example, the inability of Marx to complete his life's project, Capital. This aspect of the book is compelling, and often quietly filtered out. Marxists have rarely known what they are talking about, but, like the Levellers, will always accompany the definition of modernism.
Very acute biography.

This is the most amazing tape! We had twins that were extremely colicky. If they wouldn't stop crying we put this tape in and within minutes they were quiet and fell asleep. It is a miracle cure for colic. We highly recommend this tape for all new parents!

The best breastfeeding book I've read. Delivers honest and accurate accounts of beginning breastfeeding. Great advice and learning tips. Wish I had read it sooner.
