I have the pleasure of knowing Dr. Brown personally, and she is as delightful as her book. This book is something that any one who loves babies will treasure. From the expectant parent through the years to the grandparent, the nuggets of wisdom and the charming illustrations will touch the heart of all. I highly recommend this book for one's personal collection as well as a gift book for others. Well written.

I found the layout helpful in tracking the progress of my pregnancy and birth. Most importantly, I love the images of the babies, because they are like my own baby, plump and juicy, smiling and full of emotion. What expression!

Very easy to find information. Has pictures and info is summarized on the essential of first aid. I bought it because we have a toddler and I wanted to keep a quick and easy refence guide in the house in case of need. This one definetelly does it. I highly recommend to other parents.

This book addresses the physical realities of raising a baby daughter (hygiene, growth rates) and societal ones (no matter how hard you try to avoid it, "girl" clothes often come in pink).

It's got common sense advice on food, nurturing, and setting limits--and the language is warm, even friendly, without being "cute." A very good book.

An excellent resource for making delicious, wholesome baby foods!

My first son had the Baby Gund rattle book with animals. He loved it; so I bought the Baby Boy book for my second son. Turns out BOTH sons love the new book. My 6 month old wants to eat it, while my 2 year old enjoys identifying the objects and activities in the pictures. There are things like: Boy drinking juice - picture of a cup; Boy riding bike - picture of a bike; Boy brushing teeth - picture of a toothbrush; Boy reading book - picture of a book. I like these books for the babies because I can attach them to the stroller with a bunch of plastic links. So, baby can have a book on the go -- and it won't end up on the ground.

My 14 month old baby loves looking at the real pictures of the Sesame Street Muppets. It holds her interest for quite some time.

We received this book as a gift for our first child. It has been wonderful to learn about the variety of ways touch can calm our baby. We particularly enjoy the quiet time in the evenings when all three of us are together when my husband and I give our baby her nightly massage. Since we have added massage, our baby has been falling asleep faster and sleeping longer. I would recommend this to any couple with a newborn looking to incorporate some quiet, bonding time for the family.
