Ok, you find squiggly worm-looking things in your baby's poop - oh my god what is IT? This was the only book to tell me that it was from bananas and not some jungle-disease! Also, when my son's bottom was covered with clear jello-looking granules, this book explained that it came from the diaper and not my boy! That is the power of this book - when you are freaking out, it tells you whether it is normal or you should call the doctor - in a very concise way so you are not leafing through pages and pages of verbage like you have to with Dr. Spock. A must for new parents!!!

This book has been a godsend to me. It is a quick, understandable reference to use at the times when you need things to be quick and easily understandable. I left my copy at my mother-in-law's, out of the country...now I can't find another one. I also wanted to buy it as a gift for someone. It has a pull-out CPR/FirstAid chart, in addition to everything else

This is a really fun book to fill out and read. Very imaginative and a nice keepsake for your little one.

I have When you were One and When you were a Baby and my just 3 year old loves me reading them to her, except now she is 3 she is upset we don't have one for her being 3 with her birthday cake like the first two books have. I also purchased I'm glad I'm Me so will be able to put her birthday picture in that one! They are a very cute adjunct to an often unfinished baby-book that your toddler and young child can enjoy from a young age, they love to read about themselves!

I am a soon-to-be grandmother, and I purchased this book as part of my son's, the soon-to-be dad, birthday present. Since I was in a brick & mortar book store, I was able to read it before purchase, and I sat there and all but cried over the loveliness of the words and pictures. Very simple advice written with humor and accompanied by relevant pictures. If I could give it a "10" I would!

Moms, Dads, daughters, sons, siblings, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, and many more will absolutely fall in love with the images used in this book. Janet Moran captured the true spirit of infants, toddlers and families alike, thru the magic of her camera lense, and the concept around Gregory Lang's well written words.

This is a wonderful book, and one that I would recommend for all of those that I mentioned above, for ANY occasion or any holiday.

Davy is the youngest of the Rabbit siblings and enjoys a special place in his family. So he's not entirely sure what to make of it when Mother Rabbit announces to him and his siblings that she's going to be having a baby. When Father Rabbit asks whether they would prefer a brother or a sister, Davy gets the idea that he actually has a choice. He talks with his friend Eddie, who actually has a baby brother and gets some interesting advice.

What will Davy eventually make of the new baby? How will they get along? This book tackles the "new baby" issue in a fun, funny and ultimately charming and comforting way. The illustrations are soft and warm. The text is probably too long for younger readers to read by themselves, but would be great for read-aloud.

My daughter is 2 1/2 years old. She wants to have it read to her every night before bed. It is a wonderful story about adding a new baby to the family. It would be a great resource for any parent needing help introducing the idea of a new baby brother or sister to a preschooler.

I'm not due until March, 2009 but I got this baby book for Christmas. I've already started writing in it. It has delightful illustrations, poems, and quotes from the A.A. Milne stories- not the Disney version. For me it has just the right amount of stuff to record. I can't see myself writing every day and I know I won't keep it up until the baby is three, like some books have. There is still lots of room for pictures and keep sakes as well as two full pages of "first times." A wonderful keepsake for the family!

I received this book as a gift when my daughter was born and I have since purchased it for 2 friends! Its cute and has room to record everything! I highly recommend it.

This is a book that should be on all bookshelves... children, library, schools. The breastfeeding women, of all colors, create a sense that breastfeeding is healthy and normal. This fun, but educational book, has simple phrases about the breastfeeding relationship. It allows the caregiver and child to have a conversation about what is on the pages, in more depth if wanted.

My seven year old nephew read this book to me. He loved the information he read so much at one point he look up at me and said 'really?' I enjoyed seeing him read it and enjoying the details. He didn't make a big deal of the pictures, but I LOVED seeing the women of all backgrounds and children of all ages.

This is a delightful addition to our collection as well as the collection of a couple of the families in our circle of friends.

Thanks for writing such a long overdue book targeting young children.

This was a great deal! I got a BRAND NEW 8th edition book for $20.00 less than other websites or bookstores. In addition, the book came with a free virtual clinical excursions CD that I haven't had a chance to use yet, but it looks to be helpful. So not only did I save $20, I also got something for free! This is a great buy, and you won't find a new book for a better price anywhere.

period. THe secret's book is a primer, this is for if you want to be able to explain at a decent level the answer you just quoted from "nicu secrets". must have for all residents considering the NICU.
I miss the nicu, really i do...i miss the fetoids, the residuals, the oscillator, the dopa, dobuta, the epi, the NEC, PDA's, VSD, TAPVR, chest tubes....

This is a great book that lives up to it's name___ practical. I think every intern, resident, attending to be should have this book. It contains real case scenarios and avoids, too much theoretical information.

This book is a "Must Have" for all parents, grandparents, and soon to be parents. Our children's words and actions are so precious and they must be preserved. Being a mother of two, I always say, "I'll write that down when I get home" and I forget, or I do write a quote down on a small piece of paper only to misplace it before I get it in the baby book. This is the perfect way to capture our children's thoughts and words. They are little for such a short time, we need to write it all down. Our children will thank us and we will be grateful also! This book would make a perfect gift for showers, a new baby, and Mother's Day just to name a few! Buy one for yourself and a friend!

The title of my first book is going to be - "Why Didn't I Think of That!" This author has done an amazing job of creating the obvious. I have three children who are extremely funny and I always am being told to write down the things they say.
