This book was a blessing for our family. The poetry and prose helped us to get through a very distressing time. The authors: Lisanne D'Andrea-Winslow and her sister, Diane Bifano convey a spiritual relationship that contains a universal theme. I encourage anyone who is going through a loss to read the words of faith and hope shared by their family.

Lisanne D'Andrea- Winslow captures the nuances of the strong bond between mother and child, and her sense of futility and anger as she saw her infant slowly fade. She recounts the disbelief, the stages of letting go, the constant pull of flights of fancy, the ache, the pain, and the inevitable death. The book is a lyrical, honest and evocative account of an experience that one should never have to go through. Winslow did, and she survived to give a report from a side of life we often cast a blind eye towards.

More to naps than I ever imagined

No Cry Nap Solutions is an informative book about the importance of napping. Elizabeth Pantley makes you consider how adult routines are percieved by our children and how they may be harmful or beneficial to your child's nap pattern. She considers gentle approaches for all family types: from the I-must-sleep-at-the-same-time-everyday baby to the family who takes naptime day-by-day(like my family gladly did!). She covers the guidelines for safe use of commercial sleep aid products (pacifiers, white noise CDs, cribs). With so many confusing books and products for sleep, this book offers a valuable summary.

Wonderful! Every Family Needs This Book!!!

The No-Cry Nap Solution is a great book! If you have young children you need this book. Elizabeth Pantley has done it again with her amazing books! The No-Cry Nap Solution is a very easy read and extremely helpful book! Elizabeth Pantley has done a lot of research on this topic!! She also offers ideas that SOLVE night sleep problems! A must in my household.

This book is the most amazing idea-filled sleep book that I have every read!! My son NEEDS a nap everyday - and this book is helping him get that daily nap. He is such a happier child after he gets a nap! And that means a happier mommy and daddy!!

The No-Cry Nap Solution is a great baby shower gift for the new and the experienced moms (dads too)

Excellent book!!!!! Thank you Elizabeth Pantley!!!

What a wonderful book. This Lamaze series is first rate. My husband and I read it to our daughter so many times a day that we can now recite it without looking! And as soon as we begin to recite it, my daughter searches the room to find it!

Congratulations to Leo Landry on his first book.
He captures the essence of babies in his own unique way.
And thanks to Amazon for having this book in stock, we have found it difficult to find in local bookstores, always sold out.
Looking forward to the Snow Ghosts. I highly recommend this book to all of those who have children

This is a very sweet little book. I bought this as a gift for a friend who is a new parent. Each turn of the page features a new section/category, with titles like "Nature Baby", "Fairy Tale Babies" and "Baby Bedtime", illustrated with lots of babies in a variety of fanciful situations. I like the simple, whimsical drawings and the colorful palette. And the tiny, detailed pictures that form the borders of each page (and which change, specific to each "category") are a wonderful finishing touch. It's a very inviting and fun book to read with a small child.

Our children love this book. It's easy to read and they love listenting to it being read to them. They especially like repeating the silly song and go around singing it long after the story is over. They always get a bit quiet when we come to the picture of the mother and boy hugging after they push the buggy out to the trash. Then they start talking about things they've outgrown and miss. Each time we read it, they study the pictures and seem to find something new in them. Great for young children.

I include this book with every new-baby gift I give -- it barely costs more than a card and I get endless thank-yous for it. Parents use it as constant reference for the first few years. In addition to recommendations for the best toys, books, and videos, it includes safety tips and classic games to play with the new person in the house. It's easy to carry along and refer to. And succinct and easy to read during those years when you're too tired to get through more than a paragraph of anything. Really stands out in the sea of baby books: something practical that gets used again and again. What more could you ask for...

Excellent book for anyone interested in what toys to buy.

This book provides a nice basic overview and great drawings. However, I would not rely on it soley for juvenile osteology. It's a great addition to a juvenile osteology book collection.

Parent Involvement Begins at Birth is a must-have resource for any childcare facility, parent educator, Title I teacher, or social worker. Designed as an easy-read manual to daily involvement, this useful information is necessary to those who live/work with young children or the parents of youngsters. Dr. Goldberg and I share similar views on the role of consistent interaction with children toward their healthy development. That is why I encourage readers of my book to check into hers as well.

The early years are critical to a child's lifelong success in school and in life. Most parents have heard this statement, and they want to do their best job, but aren't sure exactly WHAT to do. This book gives parents and caregivers many practical ideas and a wealth of information so that they can help their children begin their school experience with a confident, enthusiastic attitude.

The Parents Guide to Baby and Child Medical Care

I bought a copy of this book when I had my last two kids in the eighties. I gave my oldest son and his wife a copy when they had their first child four years ago. I also buy a copy for close freinds who are having children. It proved invaluable with my third child (who is now 19) and who was sick much of his early childhood. It was easy to reference and I could quickly look up symptoms and get a step-by-step guide as to what actions to take.
And today, I'm not back on the Internet, buying a copy for my daughter, who has a 1-year-old daughter. She remembers using the book when she was a teen and was home with me and her two smaller brothers in the 80's. It's a great parenting guide.

My wife and I bought a copy of Dr. Hart's handy guide in the early 1980s, and found it very useful in the raising of our four kids over the years. Our copy is always available on a handy bookshelf, and is well thumbed through. I have found the format to be logical, and well thought out. The spiral binding made it easy to use hands free. We like it so much that we bought additional copies as gifts, to give to other parents.

Dr. Wessel, who for many years was a professor of pediatrics at Yale University, and who has cared for generations of children, has written an indispensible resource for new parents. My wife and I have many, many books about child-rearing, but this thoughtful and informative book is far and away the best.

Useful way to figure out why your child is sick

Okay, let's be honest. My dad wrote this book. But he and my mom raised four children, and he cared for thousands in New Haven. For years, he kept track of parents' questions on little index cards. When it came time to write a book, he knew which questions parents really needed answered. My friends, to whom I give the book the moment they become first-time parents, says it's useful because it's easy to look up symptoms and figure out if their child is really sick and with what
