This is such a great little book. Some of the pictures and quotes will make your eyes water and some will make you laugh but all in all I found so many of the sayings to be true. Makes a great gift, especially for first time parents. I bought one for myself as a grandmother and liked it so much I bought one for my daughter. I plan to buy a few more to put in my grandaughters keepsake chest so when they will be old enough to read it and understand it hopefull they will see what a gift they have been to our lives, this book says it straight from the heart............

This book is the perfect gift for new parents. It is filled with beautiful pictures and quotes all about the blessings of a baby. I have bought several for friends and family members and even one for myself. And I don't even have kids yet.

A friend of mine gave me this book in 2003 after the birth of my first child. I write special moments in there (like the first time he said delicious or the first time he talked on the phone) as well having loved ones write in it for special occasions like birthdays, baptisms, family beach trips, etc. I'm using it now for my daughter as well and for their sweet and not-so-sweet sibling moments. A treasure both for mother and child.

What a lovey way to record births in your family or wonderful gift to someone who is expecting! 'Baby Blessing' is a very special 'baby book' in which to record births and keep photograhs because it has been illustrated by Ms. Branch. Susan Branch's books are always so special as they not only contain her lovely watercolors drawings but also inspirational stories and quotations. This book will surely be a treasured heirloom to be enjoyed by future generations.

I fell in love with this book because I could identify with the affectionate nicknames Mary Engelbreit gives to each baby. My 15 month old son loves to read this book over and over, as does a 2 year old girl I babysit. It is simple and beautiful; makes a great Valentines Day present for the baby you love!

My son LOVES this book! The sweet baby faces are a joy and the concepts are simple. A great book for a little one that is a quick read (esp. when they begin turning those pages for you!) and sweet.

This has always been a bedtime favorite since my son was born. The story has a nice variety to it, and the illustrations are wonderful. He especially enjoys this story still at 3 years old. It's one of our top 5 stories we read every night at bedtime. We do not use the CD portion, but do enjoy the book.

This is a great book to just read to your little one. My son really likes listening to the rhyming poems and the wonderful colorful pictures. The scenes are colorful and we always find something different each time.

I loved this book. It was written by Max's mom and she used his words to describe his reactions to her pregnancy, visiting the hospital before the baby was born, meeting his baby sister and life at home following. Max does get upset with all the attention paid to his sister, but he learns to adjust and loves his little sister. An added bonus, mom breastfeeds! Great black and white photos go along with the narration. Thank you Laskeys for producing this fun and realistic view of new siblinghood from the point of view of the older sibling.

The title character, Max, is now all grown up. But he is still as adorable as he was at age 5. This book is absolutely charming (especially if you know Max)

This remarkable book touched my heart. It took me into the world of seriously ill babies, not easy territory. Yet oddly, I didn't want to leave. Through Nancy Kennedy's rich and sensitive poetry and David Pegher's exquisite sketches, these babies and their parents and nurses come to vivid life. Each tiny bundle, looking precious even attached to oxygen or other medical devices, has a big personality. Each baby not only responds to love and care in a unique way, but also gives back a love so strong it is transformative, even to the reader.

Amazingly, what I felt as I was immersed in the world of infant intensive care was not pity, but wonder at the strength and dignity of us all...the babies, the parents, the caregivers.

When I finished reading I was surprised not to feel sad. As I turned back to reread it, I realized Baby Hands & Baby Feet is a powerful affirmation of life.

books are loving, warm, bright and fun.
I was given "Arm in Arm" as a child and I still treasure
it, now 35 yrs. later.

This is an absolutely lovely book. The rhymes are poignant and sparkling. Lovely illustrations. This takes me back to a time when children's story books had imagination and heart, rather than just cleverness.

Babies love this book...and so do grown ups. The text is imaginative and the drawings are lovely.

I've always loved Brita Granstrom's babies and this one is particularly delicious! I visited this book three times in the bookstore before breaking down and buying it. This story tackles a universal truth -- that babies prefer Real Stuff -- in a fresh and lively voice. Adults and older children enjoy the build-ups and inevitable outcome of each scenario, while baby readers are satisifed that this baby get what she really wants. A loving and realistic portrayal of life with little ones.

I loved this book, it's brilliant! As an (immanent) mom to be, I was feeling down cos of my ever-expanding belly and thighs and this brought joy to my day.

This is a wonderful book that will guarantee hours of fun for all moms or midwives. It had all the nursing colleagues at my hospital in stitches! It would make a fanastic baby shower gift for any expectant or new mom.
This is packed full of superstitions that I have never ever heard before, so its thoroughly original as well as well as being very well-researched.
What I most liked about it was that it was very easy to read, full of just the beliefs and superstitions rather than lots of boring academic text.

Adoring relatives and adorable babies. What's not to love?

Vestergaard's wonderful word play on a universal theme, babies and the people who love them, is pleasing to the ear. Wallace's illustrations compliment the fun.

All this comes wrapped up in a pastel presentation of perfect poetry.

Makes me wanna go "ahhhh!"
