This sweet, easy to read and easy to understand Bible will be great to read to your kids and when they're old enough, to read for themselves. The book is far from a word-for-word translation - rather a child's synopsis of major characters. Adam & Eve, Noah, Joseph, Daniel in the lions' den, etc.

Each story is summarized in one page, with easy to grasp wording. The illustrations are absolutely precious. Nearly every page has an animal in the background or foreground, usually looking content and happy. As Noah & his family are aboard the "floating zoo," a nearby whale is seen grinning ear to ear.

As depicted in the illustration concerning Moses, the Red Sea is parted and the Israelites run happily on dry land ahead of the Egyptians. In addition to donkeys, sheep, goats, etc., you can see a scruffy, happy little dog running along with them. These are sweet, thoughtful illustrations to stimulate the mind of the reader. There are so many details, your kids will love spotting new things each time they look at the pictures and read the stories.

perfect for a small child's hands, this handy bible's brightcolors combined with the child-like wording is wonderful. A great wayto introduce your child to Christianity.

I'm in love! This bible is written in contemporary language and is chocked full of references and examples. I use it as part of my daily morning devotion, for witnessing and just general at home study. A must for Today's Christian Woman.

This Bible has been extremely helpful to me. In addition, my husband and several of my male friends have commented that it has helped them better understand the needs of the women in their lives. It is easy to read and written in a way that makes it easier for me to relate the Scriptures' meanings to my present day circumstances. Very helpful for young Christians as well as older more mature Christian women.

This is easy to follow. It provides a chronology table with each book of the bible, and character profiles. Complete introduction of the Bible's 66 books with background and a biblical narrative. There is a column running down the center of each page which cross references linked words or phrases in the text. This makes it particularly easy to reference like passages. A dictionary is provided for any unusual terms.

Over all this is a very practical bible for today's english language.

The Pomise keeper's guide throughout the bible functions as an excellent tutor pointing out essential passages and how they can be applied specifically to a man's life.

I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning the balalaika. I must warn you though, it is a challenging instrument. This book seems to be geared towards people who already know how to read music, even though some of the exercises and songs are indicated in tablature, as well as notation.

The CD that comes with it has all of the exercises and some of the songs from the book, so you can hear how they are supposed to sound. The book has exercises, songs, a CD and is probably one of the best choices you could probably make as far as your first balalaika book.

This is by far the best method for self-teaching balalaika available. It is a comprehensive and well-written method by a master player. All of the important techniques are covered with ample examples and explanations.

The accompanying CD is an excellent resource for knowing exactly how something should sound, especially helpful if you do not have access to a knowledgeable teacher. The spiral binding also makes it very convenient for laying open in front of you, not something all music methods are good at.

There is a good selection of music in this method as well as in the Repetoire section. You'll get a good introduction and overview of the instrument and it's history.

The section "Tuning of Orchestral Instruments" however lacks sufficient background and almost seems out of place. The only real disappointing section is the "Chord Shapes for Prima (ald Alto) Balalaika" which gives no introduction or overview information about how to read the shapes, perhaps assumes the reader is very familiar with these types of charts. An explanation of this would have been very helpful.

The Dorozhkin method (originally written 50 years ago) is a good companion to this, especially for the music selections, but this method is by far the best thing available.

I was very pleased when I opened the box and saw the smart looking bonded leather cover!. I bought the first one at a local store, they were out of the Marine Corp and Sailor version so I went to Amazon, sure enough, there they were! Amazon didn't mention the leather cover, they should, it looks great. I am happy to be able to give this Bible as a gift to my military family members.

This particular edition of the Bible called "Experiencing God" has been such a blessing to my life, not only it for the way it shows how to open our hearts and souls to what God can, is, and will be doing in our lives. What makes this Bible so recomendable are the footnotes, which not only guide you, but show you how He can be real in your life.

I first met Ring Lardner's BIB BALLADS in a university library's Rare Book Room back in the 1970s, and was ecstatic to find them back in print. This small volume is a true gem, which I heartily recommend them to anyone who has, is going to have, or has ever been a small child. Also, I can think of no better baby shower gift. Almost the only place they show their age is in the ballad reflecting what a dollar might buy in 1915. While the poems would stand alone, Fontaine Fox's illustrations are perfect.
I'm stingy with assigning stars. For me, three stars means very good. I can think of few books I'd call "five-star." This is one of those few. I love Lardner's "Bibs" like I love Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. Have yet to read anything else by Lardner, but understand this is an atypical offering from his pen.

I only have one comment concerning the Keystone Giant Print Edition and that is, I feel according to my needs that the margins need to be wider ( so that I can write side notes.) A wide margin edition would be a very useful tool.

This student bible is an excellent partner to the original text in the Holy Bible. It reads in layman terms what is written in the original text. It also include daily lessons or 2 minute readings you can incorporate into you daily life. Footnotes are included to explain how certain translations were applied and the definition of others. I would recommend this bible to people on all levels of understanding the word of God.

I am a 14 year old girl who has recently given my life to jesus christ.i believe this is a great book for anybody of all ages to read no matter what you look like or how you live your lifestyle.I believe everything that the bible tells you is true.A lot of the tings that the bible said wwas going to happen has already occured.I also believe that if you live your life as the bible tells you to you can never ever go wrong.
