This is the first Rapp / Collins book I read and I found the book delivers what it promises - simple, obvious, practical ideas
to improve business. It comes in short chapters which focuses on 1 point, so it's really easy to absorb and think about.
Yes, of course you can read the content of the book and find out what these 66 ideas are but it's worth reading (not that
difficult to absorb) to get a deeper understand of how the ideas are applied. It's a ready reference that you would want
on your bookself or better yet in your drawer so that your boss won't find out where you got your fantastic idea from. It's
worth it.

It is a very thought provoking book. It helped me to understand why we tick the way we do. some of it is self-tak, and some
of it is the way we was raised. This is one of the best books i have ever read and am starting to read it again.

Excellent! An unvarnished account of precisely what it was like to be a forward air controller in Vietnam. The author pays
tribute to, and included a photo of, (the late retired) Lt Col Richard F. Nelson in the book. Richard replaced him and endeavored,
unsuccessfully (because Cooper is Australian), to have him receive the American commendations due him. Cooper sent my sister
Ruby an autographed copy of the book. Of particular interest is the fact that Richard, a former fighter jet pilot and Air
Force military attaché in Tunisia for three years, served in Vietnam (and all over the world, including sitting in Florida
in a bomb-equipped jet during the Cuban missile crisis) and was a decorated forward air controller himself -- although he
opposed the Vietnam war. He supported the first Iraq war because Hussein was a bully who had invaded Kuwait and had to be
stopped. He absolutely opposed the second, which was based on lies and greed, and DETESTED Bush, who didn't even serve long
enough to "repay" his jet training. Richard went to Law School in Arkansas, had Bill Clinton for one class, and once said
that Clinton was braver than he for his opposition to Vietnam. I asked him once why those in "the military" did not speak
out more, and he replied that: "We all thought we were the only ones." He supported Wesley Clark for president, but, then
and now, would have supported any Democrat or ANYONE else who opposed the war. Richard also felt strongly that the vets who
served NEVER got their due. For the record, I am proud to say that Richard F. Nelson is my brother-in-law. Ricky Lacina

Young Boy Learns about Communication in Fun Children's Book

Review Date: 2005-06-23
Sock-a-nina tells the tale of one little boy and his problems communicating with the world. When the boy is born - all sparkling
blue eyes and tufts of precious blond hair - the whole family loves him. His mother and father dote on him while his sister
is determined to teach him to dance before he can walk. However, when the boy learns to speak and becomes inquisitive, the
sister becomes annoyed by all of the attention he receives and the non-stop questions he asks with rapid fire succession.
The sister is constantly trying to upset him and show the boy how much smarter she is than him. One day, in the heat of an
argument, the boy cries out, "You are a sock-a-nina sister," and the word is born.
As he grows, the boy uses the word to describe everything. Sometimes his parents can tell what he means by his tone, but mostly no one can figure it out. One day, the word comes out and his friend is hurt. The boy tries to understand why this happens by seeking his parents for advice.
With lovely illustrations by Nancy Kurtz Hubbard, Sock-a-nina is a fun story that teaches children to think about what they say and to reconcile their imagination with the world.
A fun and fresh book for young readers.

The original Socks the Cat book, by Betty Molgard Ryan, illustrations by Florence Winship. Just delightful illustrations -
all the barnyard animals are exceptionally fuzzy and personable looking. The endpapers are illustrated in intense red and
white, too. Winsome and collectible. Should I tell the ending?
WARNING: Spoiler ahead!
Socks says thank you to the farmer's wife by stepping in ink and spelling it out on the sidewalk! Great deal, highly recommended for cat lovers and collectors of vintage children's books.

dealt with the rights of persons accused of crimes, "Supreme Court Decisions" will enable students to gain perspectives of
Americans living during historical periods of time, how the United States Constitution has been interpreted to resolve matters
in diverse and often complex social issues, how to make predictions and judge a case for themselves through the use of critical
and creative thinking. "Supreme Court Decisions" is very strongly recommended for both classroom and home-schooling curriculums.

them, arranging the furniture in the house and playing with it all. A huge hit!

Socks, my cat, is a cat with a great imagination. He likes to watch TV. When there is a show with tweeting birds, his ears
perk up. Then he crouches right in front of the TV. He acts like he wants to jump at the images he sees. When he hears cats
meowing or fighting on TV, he begins to howl and acts like he wants to join the fight. This Citzen cat named Socks seems to
see himself in another place. When he is staring at TV, could he be transporting himself into an imagined adventure? Who knows
what is in the mind of a cat!
