Bootcamp For Money

Very interesting book. The author is very much on target when she states that the class a person identifies with usually determines whether or not he invests.

For example, a college graduate working as a marketing assistant for $25,000/year would probably invest. But then you will find many customer service representatives earning $25,000-$35,000 who won't invest. What is the difference - personal perception of themselves.

The author seeks to expose these cultural and mental inhibitors, so you can get beyond them, know you have a right to participate in the economy, and invest your way to wealth.

This book was purchased as a gift for a friend with whom I go shopping. Before wrapping the gift, I had to read the book. It was filled with all the emotions from sadness to humor. At times it was like a walk down memory lane. It was a delightful book to read. It gave interesting information and tips. I would recommend this book to all shoppers.

This was the first book I've read that compares and contrasts science and theology in an unbiased nature. I am an Astrophysics student, and I found this book extremely interesting, yet very helpful and truthful at the same time! Too bad it's not in print anymore!

Bony is at it again in Victoria

I am in the process of reading the entire 33 volume series of Inspector Napoleon Bonaparte. He is one of the most likable characters in fiction. This book takes place in Victoria not far from the Ocean Road. It has a less exotic tone than many of the others such as This Bone is Pointed since it is by the sea and not in the outback and does not involve any aborigines. However, there is a gentle tone as he develops the character of the old woodworker. You will find out what it is like to be fitted for your coffin. (I probably should disclose that I am fascinated by Australia and have a dozen Australia guidebooks.)

The Carolus Deene mysteries are always interesting and fun. Leo Bruce is an author I always enjoy. A man is thrown overboard, or committed suicide, while on a cruise, and Carolus is hired to find out the truth. Characterizations are good and the story line quite interesting. I think if a reader tries Leo Bruce mysteries they will be very happy. I know I was and have purchased all his books.

Where Will My Feet Take Me Today?

Review Date: 2008-05-04
How about to the desert where a boy and his family are searching for dinosaur fossils? That's where Franny finds herself headed when she slips on a pair of work boots brought in to her grandfather's shoe store. She meets Joey and his dog Rex, two intrepid hunters looking for gigantic dinosaur bones -- but not having much luck.

This story shows readers about the value of hard work and perseverance. It's based directly on a story from the popular "Franny's Feet" TV series airing on PBSKids. The story is a bit lengthy and wordy for younger readers, but may appeal to slightly older fans of the series who are learning to read.

Edwina and Debbie Sue (full time hair stylist and part time private investigators) go to a Private Investigator's convention in New York. They have been invited as one of the speaker acts but don't find until they get there that they are giving the course called "Investigating for Dummies". So it seems they are supposed to provide the comic relief for the convention even though they think they are great investigators. There are some laugh out loud scenes and the characters aren't too corny. A very entertaining story.

This is the 1969 reprint of the original from 1938.

The author has excellent credentials and first hand experience with the Romanovs.

The author is one of the few who gives credit when it is deserved, but can be brutal when that is appropriate in dealing with this fascinating historical figure.

Good translation. Great fold-out map. Good photos. But no bibliography!

Worth seeking out a copy in good condition. I will probably re-read it at some point.

"The Art of Loneliness". The woman looks out her window using a telescope to peep at her neighbors obtaining pleasure by masturbating or tying someone up until Elizabeth explains to Frances that her lover is on the phone while her spouse is in the next room doing what he does best with others rather than her. Frances ponders dreams, nightmares or realities as she understands The Art of Loneliness survival.

"Forbidden Zone". Tomorrow Choice selection nineteen years old Angelica will marry sexagenarian Mr. Paul. However, someone is beckoning her to flee as a Depraved One into the Forbidden Zone though her mother and father would be incarcerated for parental deficiencies. Escape means living her fantasy while her parents live a nightmare; staying means living her nightmare while her parents can fantasize.

"Picnic". Stella appreciates three things in life, but especially loves when they come together like right now. She cherishes rockin' and rollin' with bad boys, but her way. So having two bad boys to rockin' and rollin' with her rules is heaven as Kit and Buddy are hers to do as she feels.

"Sex in the Hamptons: The Writers' Confessions. More Stacey than Elise, this is a sort of anecdotal journal over what occurred to the authors over the past year.

As always the novelizations of the Red Diaries TV shows is a heated anthology with twists. Especially fascinating are the first two tales that have a Twilight Zone feel to the respective plots. Picnic is well written but is more straightforward while Sex in the Hamptons turns the writers into characters and the readers into voyeurs. ZALMON KING'S RED SHOES DIARIES: FORBIDDEN ZONE is steaming with sensual pleasures.
